This summer we decided to end wedding season with an adventure. We traveled from Missouri to South Dakota to Badlands, NP. Along the way we saw the beautiful sights of South Dakota and enjoyed gas station fried chicken. Badlands is filled with Wildlife from Roaming Bison, to Bighorn Sheep, and don't forget our favorite, Prairie Dogs!
The Scenic Routes in Badlands, NP are well worth your time. We recommend going Sage Creek Rim Road just about an hour before sunset to see the most wildlife, and get the best golden hour pictures.
For free camping, we stayed at Sage Creek Campground, and were there for 5 days. Although, you do need to prepare water in advance!
